Interesting news....my fear is it will be cg-animated like so much kiddie dribble these days.  Even Mickey Mouse is cg-animated.

If it is good CGI-Animation, it wouldn't bother me. But it'll be a tv-series with limited budget. So my fear is also, that a CGI-animated series would look bad.

Why not something like Fantastic Mr. Fox? :D Maybe too sophisticated to animate.

I don't believe I've ever come across that bit of information.  Even more popular stuff its hard to come by that type of stuff....it just isn't shared publicly.

I'm honestly not that excited about a new show. They did a marvelous job in the previous one (the one with all know and love) and a new one seems like a bad idea to me.

Still, if they make it, I wish it's something worthwhile.
Honestly, this news about the new series of Watership Down fills me with joy ... but I also fear that ruin it ...    :unsure
Who will direct the series ?, who are the writers ?, the series will be stupid and childish as Petter rabbit in computer animation ?.

If it is a remake of Watership Down, I hope for the sake of Frith it smart as the previous series.
I'm genuinely worried ...    :unsure
It is as if Disney did Watership Down
NOOOOOOOO, the ruin   >.>
I love Watership Down!

Everything is fine =) (?)

It does and I'd like to believe it would come true, but it's already been a long time since we got any news about this project.  :(

Yeah, wonder if something fell through....I don't know if they could do any better than the series that we've seen.  If it comes up again, I'm definitely concerned we're going to get some sort of CGI version.

Pretty certain Martin Rosen holds the media rights to Watership Down, so he'd be involved somehow.  Peter Rabbit isn't terrible for computer animation...I've seen worse.  That said I don't know if I could get used to Hazel or Fiver looking like this:

Ho my God. That would be horrible, but what I really worries me is super child or mature theme. As will handle the series ?, that's my main problem ...
Martin Rosen, there is still hope.  :fiver

Are you saying Sandleford wasn't destroyed to make place for human settlement, but to save the world from abominations of computer animation? :D

Not so much animation problem (I think), the real problem is that when CGI productions, often the situations are very childish and ridiculous. Being cute and cuddly rabbits is very likely that the series is super-child ...
DAMN THE MARKETING!
If so, I prefer the 2000 produccion tv series, the movie and the book thanks.
And no. this:

And the reason is because it sells more. you know, for kids!
Watership Down is always characterized by a frame would be realistic, that's why I love it so much. And very well done by the acclaimed Richard Adams.
