Fall Out Boy

Sooo. . . . . A friend on a different forum got me hooked on Fall Out Boy.

Anyone else like them? Every album has a different feel, but there's (almost) always that same underlying feel of. . . . FOB. :P I believe their genre is pop punk.

If you've seen Big Hero 6, the credit song is Immortals by these guys. They've gone in a more pop direction since their hiatus of 2009-13, but they're still pretty good. In my honest opinion, Immortals sucks. I liked it when I first heard anything by FOB, but now. . . . . *Gags* Some of their other pop stuff, though, like My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light 'Em Up) is pretty decent.

There's four members:

Patrick Stump, the lead singer, who also plays guitar.

Pete Wentz, the main lyricist and bass guitar player.

Joe Trohman, main guitar player (I think?)

And last but not least - Andy Hurley on the drums.

No, they aren't your typical boy band. They don't perform and play shoddy music. (*Cough* Justin Bieber *Cough*)

If you like, I can recommend some songs if you'd lik.e to listen to them

Jet, right?

Of course I've heard of FOB. I'm not really a fan, but I like Centuries.

@Brighty: Yep, Jet. He does seem to be the cause for a lot of my recent addictions. Centuries is pretty good, have you heard Immortals? I don't much care for it after listening to a bit more of their work, but a lot of people like Immortals. Oh, you might like Phoenix.

@Clawsy: What? The music, or the topic? :p

YUS! Fall Out Boy is probably my..... second, third or fourth favorite band. (Flip them with Panic! At the Disco and Passion Pit).

My absolute favorites by them are Centuries, The Phoenix, Beat It (a Michael Jackson cover), Light 'Em Up, Jet Pack Blues (for that matter, the entire American Beauty/American Psycho album), Thnks Fr th Mmries, all that good stuff.

Haha yes, someone I can talk to about music here! :P

Phoenix is great, I agree. Have you listened to Just One Yesterday? I'm 99% sure it's clean.

I don't listen to them that often anymore, but my favorites are American Beauty/American Psycho and Uma Thurman. There's a similar band called Volbeat that I like much better, Volbeat's live shows are also a little better (in my probably biased opinion).

I'll check it out, thanks!

If it wasn't for Fall Out Boy, I'd likely never had listened to Panic! At the Disco or My Chemical Romance.

Soooooooooo FOB is releasing a new album in September! I'm super excited, although the song they released from it is. . . . Confusing me. It's a totally new style. I'm starting to like it, seeing as the style was a total shock at first.

This album is gonna be great, though!

They released another song a few days ago! I really like it, too. Champion is much less confusing than Young and Menace. :P
