Mouse Guard Film CANCELLED

David Peterson's Mouse Guard comics were going to receive a Movie by Fox, but sadly after Disney bought Fox they cancelled the Mouse Guard film. This project was all together going to be very expensive (around $170 Million I thing) and didn't fit the theme of a Disney animated film. I believe the people incharge of producing Mouse Guard did look for another studio that would be willing to buy the project, but no one is interested due to the price. A Demo reel of what Fox wanted to do with mouse guard has been released, and it looked awesome! I'm not much for the designs for the mice, but the backgrounds look beautiful. It really would have been something people would love.
We can hope our mice buddies will be revived, but it is unlikely.

I really don’t know anything about Mouse Guard, but the film looks like it was going to be absolutely beautiful. It’s a shame it had to be canceled, I certainly would have watched it.

I'm not completely convinced by the design of the mice either, but it's a real pity that they canceled it. Surely he would have loved the movie ...

The mice look a tad creepy but it does say at the start that wouldn't be their final look. It's a pity the first thing I hear about a Mouse Guard film is its cancellation... the comics have an amazing art-style and the world is quite interesting. I love the vibe they were going for in the film as well. It really is a pity t got cancelled; I certainly would've watched it.
