Unishamaani a.k.a. Shaman here. :)

I have always loved animals and cartoons.

I really really really love dark cartoons made in 80's and 90's and I kinda hate nowadays cartoons with very bad story lines and over-reactive characters. And then there's all the hush hush about topics like death "No no we cannot show kids that death exists!".
Though I do agree Watership Down is one of the darkest cartoons I've ever seen. But I loved it. I loved the book. I still love them.
There's not any effort in cartoons nowadays, they are made quickly and cheaply on computers. *Sigh* And I wouldn't even wonder if they were made to brainwash too. ಠ_ಠ

Anyway, hi all, sorry for letting out some steam right in the beginning, it may very well sound like a rant and yes, it is a rant. xD


Anyyywayyy, you get the point, I love dark and weird cartoons. :)
Few of my other favourites are; All dog's go to heaven, Plague Dogs and Black Cauldron.

Heh. With this kind of people we would probably never have "Animals of Farthing Wood" tv-series. Unless HBO decided to make it, since they don't seem to mind tv shows where people can die. :p

Indeed, the movie is very very dark with the scenes like destruction of Sandleford or those showing the life in Efrafa. Tv-series is pretty dark too in third season, even though changes in characters' looks might not be liked by everybody (to say the least).
