Threnody for Efrafa

Description:
The revolution has failed. Many have fallen. The group of hurt and broken rabbits, who have survived the battle against the Owsla, are gathered in a small burrow. Distressed they are missing their friends, which have stopped running. An heavy oppressive atmosphere lies within. Gently, they mutter, striking up an old song to remember those who have fallen. The deep and sorrowful voice of a marli tries to interrupt the grieve, but misery overcomes her and she bursts in tears. She just tries again, she has to, louder and prouder, with tears in her eyes, her voice resonating in the whole burrow, she mourns for everyone, who had a brave heart, and fell to dust among the others. The revolution has failed.

I was kinda busy composing it the last few days, burning the candle at both ends.
The trait I want to describe with this song and the upper description is the sad and desperate situation among the rabbits beneath the ground of Efrafa. As sad as it seems, I love those situations, so many facets to tell.
As soon as I read the description of this contest, this immediately flashed through my mind, to make a threnody for the warren of Efrafa. I even played as a little gimmick the typical Efrafan brass at the very end, like it is just a scene about to continue. I hope you like it, I even shed a tear here and there.

Wow was What I felt after reading it.
Leo-Rah my dear friend, your entry was spectacular and very creative.
Your lament of those "behind the scenes" in Watership Down took me to imagine the situation of Efrafa that I have never even considered and I believe would be a great way to understand the true scope of the predicament in Efrafa. I'm glad that you immediately thought of this after reading the topic, and I'm glad I read it. From one writer to another, I believe you have done an excellent Job with this entry of yours for I can see the admiration you put into it.

@Leo-Rah-   I just noticed your orchestra piece that came with your Lament, surprised I did not notice it the first time. I Am So sorry about that, my bad; I apologize.  It was really amazing to listen to and it sent my heart quivering for some reason. It sounds similar to the Munich Ost when the women were singing in some parts and also that of Fallout Equestria. Great Work Leo-Rah.

I really like those hopeless scenes, may it be writing them, or underlining them by music. Especially Efrafa is the perfect place to tell their stories beneath the earth, I thought. :3
Absolutely no need to apologize, I have to, not for not marking it more clearly to the mp3 over on soundcloud. :3 Funny, you mention the Munich OST. Remembering Munich is one of my most favorite tracks I use from time to time to get inspiration. Lisbeth Scott's voice in there always brings me in a deep and thoughtful mood, among my other favorite singers: Lisa Gerrard and Francesca Genko (the one singing in here).

rather highlights the fact you read the description of the music, while listening Threnody for Efrafa. Recounting the events of a violent and cruel battle where protagonists lose and show what they are dejected. Poor bunnies ..      

I hope soon upload a drawing for the contest, otherwise I will use a previously drawing done by me.  

And an important thing.
I do not care who wins, I really enjoy a lot, a lot, A LOT greatly all contributions and genius art to this beautiful community of rabbits of Watership Down.  
So really ... We all win.    

Although it sounds like joke a hehe ...
