Thank you Acacia, Brighty :) I appreciate it.

I might write more about Nettle in the future; I'll see :)

@CockatielPony-Wonderfully Drawn Oc my dear friend. Loosestrife looks to have quite an interesting story left to our future interactions of his character. :)

@Chipster-roo-Hallo. I've just finished reading your Oc's story and I have to say that I have myself wanting to see more of where the potential story of Nettle may continue. :D Your writing and dividing her background information into separate paragraphs helped paced the story for its progression. With this, it helped your short story run smoothly, making it enjoyable to read. ;)

:silverweed3 I congratulate both of your entries my dear friends and I wish you the best of Luck in your Future Artistic endeavors for I am sure with a bit of Luck and effort, you'll go far. Well done. :D *Hugs*

@CockatielPony What a lovely design for an OC. Like his name, and the pattern of his fur. He's drawn so well, really great job!  :bigwig3

@Chipster-roo
I really enjoyed it a lot, reading your short story. The description of her thoughts and intention, going this risky and adventurous way. For sure it's dangerous, but I'm sure it's worth all the things she might see. As she seems to be able to take care for herself pretty well on her own, as it seems.  :fiver

Two really nice entries! :3

Thank you Leo :) I appreciate this.

Here is another entry I have made, this one for the banner contest.  It was difficult to make; the biggest challenge was making the rabbits blend in well with the background, but hopefully I succeeded.  The fonts used are "URW Chancery L" and "Liberation Serif".

Yeah, really cool banner! o.o Love how the characters fit in the series background (it is series, isn't it?). All two generations in one banner - Another really cool entry, Chipster! :)

Thank you Brighty, Leo, Cockatiel :)

Brighty: I'm glad you like the new background :)

Leo: thank you :) The background does come from the series, near the end of episode 1.

One thing I realized, though: you don't have your name there, Chipster :pipkin-oh Don't you want credit for your work?

I suppose we could edit it on later.

Here's my entry for the OC Writing Contest, about a rabbit from Cowslip's Warren.

I feel like I know something that everyone else doesn’t. Or maybe it’s the other way around.

Am I the only who hasn’t seen Posey in a while? Or Whisker, or Redd? The other rabbits don’t seem to share my concerns.

After hrair days of chewing on my worries, I approached Cowslip. My paws trembled as I explained my fears.

Cowslip didn’t blink. A moment passed.

“Well, Inqwynn, you’ve always been an odd one.” Cowslip laughed. He followed this comment with a rambling (and boring) speech on why our warren was – as he repeated several times – “perfectly safe”.

Despite Cowslip’s efforts, I was unconvinced. “But I haven’t seen-”

Without warning, Cowslip’s smile disappeared. I hunched over and looked down at my gray paws, which were shaking again.

“No more of this, Inqwynn. You’re a newcomer to our warren, and you would have died of hunger if we hadn’t let you in. Keep your place.”

He plodded away, leaving me staring at his back. My chest tightened as I went outside.

The sun was warm and the wind was gentle. I ambled to my usual patch of grass. There was perhaps no better place for flayrah.

I stopped.

My thoughts did too. The only thing that kept going was my heartbeat.

“Floral,” I said to the corpse before me. The young rabbit’s neck, which should’ve been brown, shone red. Silver coils embraced her fur.

She had died recently; I knew by the smell. Shivers ran down my body, leaving me cold. For several moments, I stood there and breathed. Those were the longest moments of my life.

If I hadn’t stopped to talk to Cowslip, if I hadn’t listened to his longwinded speech, a different scene would’ve played out.

I turned, and I ran.

~~

Author's Note: The ending was too predictable :P Please give comments, compliments, and constructive criticism!

I don't mind not having my name on the banner :)

It's nice to see you decided to participate, Brighty :) It's a nice story, it's well-written, and the first-person perspective is interesting.  I love the name Inqwynn; does it mean anything?

I don't think the ending was predictable.  Initially I expected Inqwynn to die.  The ending you put is better ;)
There were a few funny passages especially:

I came up with Inqwynn by smashing a prefix and suffix together and calling it a name. They are't random, though ;) "Inq" is short for inquire and "wynn" means friend.

Thank you, Chipster!

Really nice story, Bright! :)
Enjoyed a lot, reading it. The name is indeed beautiful, I have to admit. I liked how you implemented the atmosphere of Cowslip's Warren, this strange, odd behavior of him. Him, able to be a friendly, 'noble' rabbit,  kind of an aristocrat, but then, when his story is about to break, turning to what he really is. Only abusing everyone else who lives there, risking their lives for his own. Just like in the book.
Really well described! Loved the ending as well, so dramatic. But I love dramas. x3

Loving this contest so far! All those nice entries again. ^_^
