Hyzenthlay ships

Who is the best possible mate for Hyzenthlay?  Hazel?  Holly?  Thethuthinnang?  Someone else? :hyzenthlay

Thethuthinnang.  Even the Council ships it!

And I just love how she is in the miniseries even though they didn't give her enough time to shine. Thethuthinnang is so hopeful there and continues to believe in Hyzenthlay no matter what.

Though Holly had potential in the miniseries if only they'd bothered to flesh it out more. Also his idea for making Hyz smile was... kinda lame?

God help Holly, he's doing his best, but he deds before much happens.

I don't remember that, actually. Need to rewatch.

I don't know, the Holly/Hyzenthlay relationship seems just thrown in.  They didn't even interact much during their brief time in Efrafa, if I remember correctly (I think it was mostly Bluebell).

And he gets killed before the relationship can get anywhere at WD.

It seemed to be there to motivate Holly, but not really necessary.

the relationship was thrown in but at least it had more believable chemistry than hazel/clover

Hazel/Clover just seems to fall in the "love at first sight" trap like just about every official 1999 series ship except Hickory/Marigold.

It's very much a "why tho" relationship.

imagine making relationships a focus of the miniseries and still not bothering to put any effort into it :glowingfiver

That does exist, though, even if it sounds stupid. That's what happened to my dad with my mom. He always talks about it.
... Rare, yes. Impossible? Nah.

It exists, but I don't think the miniseries really sells it.

It's much rarer than the WD adaptations seem to make it look like.

there’s a difference between the wsd love at first sight and real love at first sight

Yeah, I agree with you there. I don't think I've ever seen it done convincingly in any media.

Then again, what do I know about love? Nothin' =P

I don't know much about love, but I know what I'll believe.
