Forum member @Thlayli-rah has obtained a copy of the book, and posted this picture on Twitter:

He also posted the back cover:

Overall, I like what I'm seeing, and Kehaar's design is especially great, I think.

Three things though:
1: The Black Rabbit doesn't look very ghostly...
2: Bluebell is described as a "natural storyteller", I thought this was Dandelion's job...
3: This is far from complete.
Ditto on the description of Bluebell being questionable. I have to wonder if the storyteller role will go to Bluebell on top of him being comic relief.

Also, Fiver being described as just Hazel's younger brother is a little odd. No mention of his visions, you know, his very important contribution to the group? The reason why Watership Down becomes a warren at all? The reason it survives? Seems an odd thing not to bring up.

Kehaar, though, looks great. I hope he looks just as good in motion.

Still not hugely convinced by this, sorry... >_< The colouring looks pretty dull, but that might just be the print quality there. Seems there's no getting away from ugly Bigwig now! And fed up with seeing Hazel-catface. Funnily enough was thinking how Kehaar might look the other day, and he at least looks okay there. I'm sure I'll get used to their appearances in time...

@Thlayli-rah confirmed on Twitter that the character page already posted is the only one.  Other pictures were posted however

Bluebell appears to be the one telling the blessing story instead of Dandelion.

Apparently Woundwort is more dangerous than elil.

The Efrafan or the Sandleford owsla?

What's this about Bigwig not returning, where did he go?  Also bummer, they say that Woundwort was killed by the dog, avoiding all the uncertainty about the body never being found.  Still better than magic though.

'... and discovered a something stronger even than our...' ??

Can't say much for the wording of this book!

I've mentioned it before... Why are Hazel's legs so long in that moon picture? It bothers me so.

... Otherwise I think some elements of the picture book are all right?

I'm so darn critical. :I

How did they get their hands on a copy so early. I like how it looks like they did a different art style of the el ahairarah stories just like what they did in the other adaption. I liked ow woundwort looks though I think they could have made his more muscular in the legs.

Do you think the show will start with bluebell telling the creation story?

I honestly have no idea.  On Amazon (both Canada and UK) the release date is 29 November for the ebook, even later for the print version.

Speaking of Amazon, it shows this picture of a Lapiné glossary included in the book:

FLAYRAH SHOULDN'T HAVE A HYPHEN PLEASE LEARN HOW TO SPELL :woundwort
Also I hope there are more Lapiné words than those six.  Hraka?  Tharn?  Marli?

Do you think the show will start with bluebell telling the creation story?
That would be a good idea honestly, as it would allow Bluebell to travel with Holly (who, it should be pointed out, is absent from the characters page) rather than Hazel's gang.

I mean, I guess it makes enough sense to have vegetables referred to more explicitly as "prince of food". I guess. I dunno, it's weird seeing flayrah spelled like that to my eye, but maybe it's intentional.

Colouring book pictures, once again from @Thlayli-rah!

Going with four episodes instead of two.

Back cover.

At least here we have decent grammar.

Quite a page to colour...

That huge moon...

Not sure which part of the story this is.
http://Hazel looks pretty cute here.  Too bad he didn't call himself Hazel-rah though.

I really like the front cover, except for sticking that shot from the series on it. :P

If these are all quotes from the series they sound a bit... lame? for want of a better word.
'Let's help raise each other to our strongest selves. Let's go home.' Hmm...

Hoping quotes like that sound better in the proper context!

Aside from the sappy quotes, I am still tempted by this book.

I guess Bluebell getting the storyteller role does make sense since he did tell stories as well. I just hope it doesn't mean he'll lose his jester personality because it would be a shame to finally have Bluebell and not have him be fully him.

Do you think the show will start with bluebell telling the creation story?
That would be a good idea honestly, as it would allow Bluebell to travel with Holly (who, it should be pointed out, is absent from the characters page) rather than Hazel's gang.
If Bluebell doesn't travel with Holly I will be very, very disappointed.

And I agree with Meadow that the quotes sound odd. Very weird phrasing and overall rather sappy. But I'll wait to see and hear them before fully judging them.

And it should be flayrah. Period. Why didn't they, I don't know, read the book to check the spelling?

A new image from the picture book has been released.

It kinda reminds me of this iconic picture from the 1978 movie:

Yes, that's the date listed on Amazon (US, Canada and UK sites) :) @Thlayli-rah somehow managed to get copies a few weeks in advance; perhaps it was released earlier in Germany?

I'm not sure who that purple rabbit is...hopefully the full book will say so.
