Shardik

Has anyone read Shardik?

I wasn't sure how interested I'd be in a novel about bears. Not sure why.

I read one or two chapters a while back.  I should get back to it...eventually.....

Shardik is about a bear? I thought it was about a monster.

Shardik is about a bear?
I think so?? I vaguely recall a front cover with a bear. Maybe getting novels confused.

I mean I don't know for sure because I haven't read it yet but it's what I thought.

There's a bear in the first chapter.
A really big, monstrous bear.
Who may or may not be a god.
Or...something.

And there's a sequel, Maia.  I haven't read it, but I hear there's some sex stuff in there.

A giant bear and a weirdo Hunter. Who is also a king, and then a slave.

It's weird.

I know I am curious enough but I might regret it afterwards.

Like, I constantly wonder if the people in the book are even human. They act weird.

It's also very, very, very long.

I remember hearing 800 pages or something?

Shrek is weird too. Especially with all the memes :bigwig2
