I think my favorite paragraph in all the book was when Hazel was trying to comprehend what Blackberry was saying about wood floating.  The poor chap must be insane.

Not sure how Hazel was able to wrap his mind around the metal pie tin floating in the series...

It should also be noted that just about everyone crossed the river that way, rather than just Fiver and Pipkin like in the book and other adaptations

I realize English Rabbits aren't terribly large, but somehow I doubt that 8 of them would fit in a pie.

Perhaps if you went with a lattice crust...

What if the farmer at Cowslip's warren left a pie for the rabbits, rather than the usual carrots and other vegetables.

Then the rabbits would probably be competing with the dibbuns from the nearby Abbey for food.

And it would be a Kodak moment either way.

I thought they were floating on the lid of a metal  trash can.
If it is a pie tin you must be able to make one big pie.

It does seem rather like a trash can lid, as opposed to piece of wood like in the book and film.  I wonder what happened to the rest of the trash can though
