You know, rewatching the series recently, I thought the Rowsby Wuff story was a 99 invention.

Rowsby Woof is much less intelligent in the 1999 series though. All El-ahrairah had to do was lower his ears. In the book, he took a piece of tire, made it smell bad, and bribed RW with raw meat.

Also, Rowsby Woof was a violinist whose compositions one of Richard Adams' daughters struggled with; the story was a form of petty revenge.

Hah ha, I remember reading that!

I feel like Rowsby was written in a way like we weren't supposed to like him, but in the end he just seemed kind of dumb and I felt a little bad for him. But I guess I ain't a rabbit yet.

Hey, he's keeping rabbits away from carrots. Definitely an antagonist.

But Rowsby is a good boy.
