Can the U.S. govt actually balance a budget?
« on: April 11, 2011, 10:33:29 PM »
This past week, the U.S. congress was up in arms over passing a budget for the next year.  Its crazy..."he said, she said"...you know what, you should all be fired.  No accountant in a private business firm would ever be allowed to let things get so close to the deadline and still play the blame game as much as they did.

Do your jobs people.  They got another week to hammer out some cuts.  The gravy train pulled into the station and its time to let some people and programs off.  We need to save money and stop spending like crazy.  :exactly

What do you guys think?

I wish they'd let my Algebra teacher off. I don't know how she can be called a teacher; she hates me beacuse I'm a friend with the son of somebody she hates and failed me in the class because of that.

My parents said the same something, both of 'em. Just like my school, people throw money around the lunch room (both a waste of money and just showing how immature they are). People need to stop wasting money.

Schools are largely funded by the state, so its not the federal government you want to complain to in those cases.  I'm not surprised your parents want to see cuts.  People can only pay so much before they finally say, "Ok, am I getting my money's worth through my taxes, and what are they planning to do with it?"  To be honest, Congress was bickering over 10 billion dollars....when debt is about 4 trillion dollars, they probably should bicker over some larger amounts and larger things that needs some cuts.
