Greetings, members of Fiver's Honeycomb!

Fiver's Honeycomb is a diverse community filled with members from all over the world. This means that not everybody's first language is English. To help members new and old feel more comfortable, the Staff members have added a feature below their profile pictures called "I speak".

We are now opening it to all members. Simply post which languages you speak/understand, and a Council of Chiefs member will add the appropriate flags.

How much do I need to know a language to add to my profile? If you can carry a simple conversation in said language, feel free to add it.

Thanks for being a part of this great community :)

Big cheers to Bright Side for writing this post!

Mark me in for English and French (Quebecois), s'il vous plait.

It's English and French for me too.

I gotta ask, why is the American flag being used to represent English? That's like using the Mexican flag to represent the Spanish language. Shouldn't it be the British flag? I don't really care and I'm not offended, it's just odd.

I'm actually kinda curious as well, but I don't really mind. The US version of the English language is often considered to be its own, separate language anyway (just like the Mexican version of the Spanish language). And it's the one we are all using here by the looks of things.

I'll take a flag for English. Just English. I'm boring and uneducated like that.

Done!

As a side note: People like you and Meadow (who are both from England) get the British flag, while the rest of us get the American flag. Why? Because I say so :P

Aye, but Canada was a British colony and still under the monarch, plus we essentially use British English, as in "favourite" and not "favorite", and "centre" not "center".

Just sayin'
