Many good suggestions on here! Particularly The Last Unicorn for me. That is as important to me as Watership Down is. :)

I'll have to check out the ones I haven't seen!

I'd also recommend Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and The Land Before Time. I'm sure many of you have probably seen or heard of them, but hey, if you haven't seen them then you should. :D
If I think of any others, I'll be sure to post them.

Yeah after posting this I realized I forget land before time. Both land before time and spirit are some great childhood movies. I also forgot to add all dogs go to heaven. :vervain-facepalm

Yes, they are! :D Ah, All Dogs Go to Heaven is one of my favourites, and I was debating suggesting it. I'm rather fond of the sequel too.

I'd also like to suggest Millionaire Dogs too, and Rover Dangerfield. :)

I second that. I saw it in Korean with subtitles and it was really great. The English version is probably just as good though (I simply like having subtitles around if I can because I misunderstand things way too easily^^)

Looking at the list, those are all films I've either seen or that are on my to-watch-list. Except for Ringing Bell, I hadn't heard about that one before but after looking it up it does sound interesting.

Is this only for animated films or just any film? Because else I would suggest Two Brothers (Deux Frères) by Jean-Jacques Annaud. It's been a while since I saw it but I remember really loving it a lot. :)

Animated movies are my favorite so I just put those on the list. I have heard of two brothers never watched it though it looks very cute.

Oh my God...this brings back a lot of memories LOL I've seen several from that list, including Plague Dogs, the Secret of Nimh, Animal Farm, Princess Mononoke,  All Dogs Go to Heaven,  the Last Unicorn, the Land Before Time.

I am surprised no one mentioned CHARLOTTE'S WEB.There was the cartoon older version, and the newer version with Julia Roberts voicing Charlotte.

Akira is like Watership Down XD????
Instead of that movie they recommend: Zootopia, Bernardo and Bianca, lion King and the great mouse detective.    :fiver
I love Watership Down!

Everything is fine =) (?)

I watched Wan Wan, or Doggie March yesterday. I really liked it! Its oldish, about 1980 by Toei animation. Its kinda like an old disney or Tom and Jerry kind of animation. I love Rock, he looks like my own Akita.
Its available to watch on Dailymotion in two parts, but the audio is Japanese only and the subtitles are Italian.

I've tried looking for the doggie March before but saddle could not find it in English dub or sub.
A cute movie that can be watched on YouTube is Ico the brave little horse.
