Hi there, I am here to talk about the manga Kuroko no Basuke!
It's about a guy named Kuroko Tetsuya who joins the basketball team of Seirin High, the high school he is attending, after previously being in one during middle school, where the team was known for "The Generation of Miracles" - six skilled, powerful and unbeatable members, including Kuroko who was known as the "phantom sixth man". The team he joins isn't too well-known, but he is determined to help them rise to the top and "become number one in Japan.", and he plans to do so by winning against his former teammates one by one.
Before I read the manga, I watched the anime and I loved it. It's what made me want to read the manga, which was much more immersive and naturally went into more depth. At times, it's ridiculous and over the top but to me that's part of the charm.
I can't think of anything I dislike about it. There are a few plot holes, and a few characters lack development. (However I've heard some have gotten development in the Extra Game short sequel, I've yet to read it.) But otherwise, the majority of characters got excellent development, especially the primary ones. You really grow to love them, and develop alongside them. There are so many different characters, it's hard not to find one you love.
I didn't think I'd end up liking it as much as I did, especially not really being a sports fan. But the intense action, special "skills" of some characters, quirky & varied personalities and the story in general captured my attention. I think the pacing of the story is really good, too. I definitely wanted to know if they would make it to the top.
Even if you don't like sports, I'd recommend giving it a go. There's so much more going on that there is something for everyone to love. And with six main teams, you find yourself rooting for one in particular. You do really get involved and attached to the characters, or I did at least. The brilliant display of team work and overall comradery makes it highly endearing.

In short, I love it and it has become one of my favourites. And I love Kuroko a whole lot. I like my characters mysterious and quirky.

Look at him. Such happiness. I am a sucker for strong friendships and team work.
I hope this was interesting, and who knows, maybe it will inspire some of you to give it a go!
