This one is a no-brainer--you can't outmaster John Hurt in any role. Hurt gives Hazel a firm, but compassionate voice, one of a great leader. There are no glaring problems with his effort as Hazel. He really liked the story too! In his defense, Ian Shaw also gave Hazel the same leader-esque voice to our main protagonist in the show. Shaw sounds much younger, and gives Hazel a youthful sound, while Hurt was more of a voice of experience and time. Hurt just worked better when it came to looking for a voice of a leader.
Hurt wins the round!
