A thread devoted to gratitude! (Idea from Loamhedge Abbey Forum)

Just put something you're thankful for today.

Today I'm thankful to still be alive. (No. Really. Think about it.)

Being alive is something to be thankful for.  I just hope you didn't have any near-death experience or anything...

I'm thankful to have been able to spend some time with my family today.
Have you considered making each day count - doing something meaningful each day - instead of letting the days and weeks and months and years fly into oblivion? --Bright Side

Today, I am thankful for not being mauled to death by a big grey pitbull that attacked me today. I am grateful that I walked out of it, yet I wish I be grateful that I did not get hurt, yet I did get hurt.

I am thankful that I live and be healthy.
But I thinking about sometimes, how look's like the world or the life of other peoples, when I dosen't live..
And yes, sometimes I wish that. When I had a shit day.
But it's a really difficult aspect!
Don't be like me and think about some things!

I'm always thankful to spend another day with my dad, who is bravely battling cancer.

I really wish the best for you all.

Perhaps this thread does more bad than good. It seems to make people think of bad things going on in their lives, which was far from my intention.

I may lock or delete it.

No, I'm not blaming any of you. I'm just wondering if it was the best decision to start this thread.

While I don't see any harm being done, I do believe that this thread might be the perfect starting blaze for it. I'm not locking it or anything, but I will keep an eye on it.

I for one tend not to think of bad things in my life. I don't like being sad, so I surround myself with happy things. Today I'm thankful for good music.

Mine was quite positive for me, as it reminds me of how lucky I am!

But today I'm thankful to have so many wonderful people in my life. :D

I don't see any reason to lock or delete this thread.  It seems like a good way to promote positive thoughts and appreciation.  Unless it gets hijacked by negativeness, I think it should stay.
