Watership Down radio drama
« on: September 23, 2016, 04:19:39 PM »
It seems that the BBC is not only working on a new Watership Down miniseries, but also a two-part radio drama, that will air on BBC Radio 4 in November.

There haven't been any formal announcements from the BBC, but a few cast members tweeted about it:

Good find! This is exciting. I hope I get to tune in that day.

That's interesting. Should give a sense of what the characters will be like in the series.

This is indeed a big surprise. I am very interested in listening to the live audio drama somehow, I would like to. Or at least turn up the audio somewhere.   :blackberry2

It seems that the first episode will air on 6 November at 3pm on BBC Radio 4:

Unfortunately, I will probably never hear it, unless someone posts a recording on the Internet.

I don't think it will be an adaptation of the new miniseries, considering the fact it uses several characters who will not appear in the miniseries.

Just listened to it, and I must admit, I'm rather surprised about their adaption. Loved the voices, the soft sounds of music, and the way of telling it. Can't wait to hear the next part next week! :3
