What Watership Down Merchandise do you have?
« on: April 11, 2011, 11:08:29 PM »
I've always been curious what Watership Down merchandise members have. All I have is Watership Down, Tales from Watership Down and the movie. Not sure if this counts, but I have Winter on Watership Down and the final two epsiodes on my computer.

Not sure if this is a topic that should be pinned, but I'll keep it pinned for now. I doubt this is a topic anyone would want to get lost. :wacko

Lucky...I wish I could find the series on video. I've only had luck with Winter on WSD, and that's Amazon, don't have an account; so I had to download it (along with Beginning of the End and The Magic) off of youtube.

For some reason they won't upload to my website (non-WSD) or my photobucket account when I select them. Nothing happens when I click them.

I've been eyeing the TV series boxset for some time now.  There are places on the web from Australia advertising the TV series boxset as a "region free" coding.  I"m not sure whether to believe that or not, but it would be great if it was true.  What gives me a pause is the price: $49.99 before shipping, which adds about another $25.00 to the price tag.

If I liked all three seasons equally, I would buy it and not think twice.  Season 2 has a lot of clunkers in my opinion, and it bothers me to pay a large price for something where there's a good portion of the series I really don't enjoy.

My boxset wasn't "region free", but it wasn't the problem that couldn't be solved by right programs. ;)

I decided to make a photo of front cover of every disc in my TV-series boxset. I did it with a cellphone, so the quality may not be the best, but well... here it is:

Vol. 14 is a travesty...Christmas on Watership Down :x :x   The theme of the episodes (better titled "Winter on Watership Down") is decent when analyzed, but that title just is a turn off.  I think the rabbits have scarves on in the US release. :blink

Sick.  :crazy   :crazy  :crazy  :crazy

The Watership rabbits would've freaked out at such a thought.  :bolt

No no, not in the show do they wear the scarves.  The cover implies they did.

Well... I wouldn't suspect producers of the series of making a special version of this episode with rabbits wearing scarves. That would be additional and unnecessary work. On the other hand, making different cover is much easier. ;)

Yeah but why bother putting scarves on the rabbits at all?  Hazel even looks like he has a santa cap on.
