An idea from the Loamhedge Abbey Forum, with modification.

The post above you will have a sticky situation (whether death-related or just something that would be unfortunate). Come up with a creative, even nonsensical, way to escape that situation. Then post a new one!

You have a 20-page research paper due at midnight. It's 9 PM and you haven't started.

...but I escaped because instead of writing the paper, I coded a piece of software that will write the paper for me.

You accidentally got locked inside a vault and there is nobody nearby to unlock it.

Nice answer :D

But I escaped because the vault was made out of cardboard and Scotch tape. I pushed it once and it crumbled apart.

You're tied to railroad tracks with a train quickly approaching. There is nobody around for miles.

Your answer was funny :D

...but I escaped because the locomotive ran out of coal and stopped just before it was going to hit me.

Your computer deleted that very important essay you wrote, and it is due in just a few minutes.

:silverweed2 *Hope you don't mind me playing late my dear friends.*

... but I escaped because I still had the written outline and edited rough drafts with me and used it to rewrite my essay and even improved it along the way, just before it was due and I was friends with my professor.^^

You turned into a rabbit in the world of Watership Down, yet Lucy captured you and put you in the big wooden rabbit cage with the other Hutch rabbits of Nuthanger Farm.

...but I escaped because Hazel and the others hadn't raided the farm yet.  So when Clover and the others escaped, I escaped with them.

You are locked in a room with a time bomb.  It will explode in less than a minute.

But I am Sean Connery and have the skills necessary to defuse it. By throwing it out the window they forgot to close.

You are stuck in a nosedive in an engine-less plane with no parachutes!
I've missed this place.

:silverweed3 But I escaped because even without the engine and going through the earth's atmosphere in a nose dive plunge, I am able to pull up with the control wheel so the plane glides through the air, Issue a mayday to the nearest Air Traffic Control Tower, Go through the emergency checklist for this type of situation, get needed information on the nearest airport, glide the plane towards it, get clearance to land and call for emergency vehicles to be ready, line up with runway that the ATC has allowed me to land on, lower the landing gears, hope and pray for a successful landing and make the landing, apply the brakes, turn off the plane vital system, get out and walk safe distance away as emergency vehicles come to my aid.

:silverweed2 You are trapped in an intense chess game with one of the best chess players in the world and it's recorded live throughout the world.

But I escaped because I was whistling a melody loop from a commercial all the time till the oppent couldn't stand it anymore, fliped the chess board and quit the match. As a bonus, the company whose commercial I was whistling gave me some extra cash for promoting them.

But I escaped because I woke up and it was all a dream.

Just kidding; I'm not a killjoy :P

But I escaped because the smog was indeed slowly leaking inside the car - so slowly that by the time it was dangerous, the traffic jam was over and I escaped before I could suffocate.

Your limbs are strapped to a chair, and a pair of headphones superglued to your head is blaring the worst music ever. You are completely alone.

But I escaped after moved my body left and right to point where I fall with the chair, breaking and during the fall, the headphones absorbed the shock of my fall and it comes off rather painfully. Afterward, I untangle myself off the broken chair and go and look for help.

You are currently trapped in a sinking ship and you are locked in random at the bottom of the ship and water was already coming into the room. And you are trapped in the room by a heavy metal door. Good Luck. ;)

But I escaped because I'm a shark, and the water actually saved my life. The ship is ruptured by an iceberg, and I swim into the sea. Thanks, Vesper :D

You need to send an important email, but your Internet is being slow and weird (totally not based off real life events :P) This is the only connection you have.

..but I escaped because I have invented a method of sending emails without Internet access.  Therefore, I simply send it while bypassing the Internet entirely.

You suddenly wake up; you overslept and only have five minutes to get to school/work.

... Luckily I was able to escape with the simplest of reasons. Today was actually a Saturday, and you lay back relief in your bed, overthinking the situation at hand.

You unexpectedly find yourself in the middle of fight between your favorite character of Watership Down and a new warren that threatens the integrity of Watership Down Survival and it's very existence.

...but I escaped because Watership Down isn't real, so this situation is just a fan-fiction. I write a happy ending.
