Fiver's Honeycomb has successfully moved to a new server.  All posts and threads from the original forum should be available here

The forum now runs on Simple Machines Forums (SMF), an open-source platform.  This allows us to have all the features present on ZetaBoards, and several more.

The staff has done their best to make the moving experience as painless as possible.  Most BBCodes you used on ZB should work here.  Also, our theme has been ported to SMF by James Gryphon; we thank him for his hard work

However, some minor glitches still persist.  Here is a list of the staff's main goals over the next few days:

• Migrate everyone's blogs;
• Migrate all "I speak" flags and "FHC contest winner" badges;
• Continue work on the theme.  While it should be mostly similar to what we had on the old forum, some differences (notably the buttons) remain.

Due to the limitations of our conversion script, members' personal time settings and "favourite WD media" profile fields have not been carried over; you will have to set these manually.

If you find any posts that appear to have been converted incorrectly, please notify the staff so we can fix it.

What will happen to the old forum?  It will remain online for the foreseeable future, to allow members to back up their private messages.  However, posting has been disabled in all sections except Snowdrop's Support Section; any new discussions will take place here.

Me and James have been working to fix some issues.  Here is a list of the changes made today:

• The glowing post count paws are back;
• Removed some posts that were converted twice by the script;
• Fixed a conversion glitch that caused some quotes to display incorrectly;
• A list of upcoming member birthdays (for the next seven days) is now displayed near the bottom of the main page;
• Locked topics are no longer displayed in grey;
• Contest winners now have their badges back.
• Removed character limit in posts;
• Various "behind the scenes" modifications.

Go away for a few days and this happens! Seemed to be a smooth log-in for me.  Nice work to those for managing the changeover so smoothly!

Here is a list of changes made since the last update:

• Fixed permissions bug that prevented a few members from viewing most sections;
• Removed more posts that were accidentally converted twice;
• YouTube videos should now automatically embed, instead of having to use complicated BBCode like on ZetaBoards;
• All emoticons, including those unrelated to WD, are now accessible from the main posting menu without having to click [more] to access them;
• Added new theme "Curve".  This theme has wider margins, but lacks most WD theming.  You can change theme in the "look and layout" tab of "modify profile".  The current WD theme remains the default;
• Progress has been made in importing the blogs.  Work on this is not finished yet, but they should be back in a few days.

I had some problems to get in, but Hispter-Roo helped me a lot. Thanks friend. I am reading that you are making great efforts to keep this forum alive, thank you very much!

@CockatielPony that's a weird bug.  What browser are you using?

Since the last update, several changes have been made to the forum.

• "I speak" flags are back.  If you want some flags, request them in this thread (thanks to @Claws and @Darkling Nocturnal for creating the flags);
• Large images are now automatically resized so they don't stretch the screen.  Over these images, there is now a banner that can be clicked to enlarge them (thanks to @singhcr for the bug report);
• The Silverweed image next to the upcoming birthdays list is back (thanks to James Gryphon for doing this);
• The forum has a new mention feature.  More details will follow in a separate announcement;
• Most blogs have been restored.  The ZB-era documentation on blogs is now obsolete; an updated thread will be posted soon. (thanks to @Rosie Willowwater for helping me test this)

Several members have reported a visual glitch that causes black boxes to randomly flash across the page.  This occurs only in Google Chrome; other browsers such as Firefox appear to be unaffected.

This glitch can be fixed by disabling hardware acceleration.  To do this, navigate to chrome://settings/
then in "advanced settings", toggle the option "Use hardware acceleration when available" off (it should be very close to the bottom of the page).
