Lucy’s Doctor

The Doctor whom Lucy shows Hazel to— Doctor *Adams*— I had wondered if this character could possibly be the author’s self-portrait; I thought I remembered reading somewhere that he was a doctor, but apparently that was his father, not himself. But I still wonder whether there was any connection.

I have never thought about that... that's actually really interesting.

I can't believe I missed it while reading.

It was probably Richard Adams' father.  The fact that he was a doctor in real life, and the name change, make me think this wasn't a coincidence.

Yeah, sounds very likely it was a reference to his father.
Here lies a signature that has little point.
