Hello, I found this forum a while ago, but I only joined yesterday, I see based off some of the topics that there are some Redwall fans here as well as obviously WSD. I am a fan of both Redwall and Watership Down, one lead to me reading the other actually. So I hope to have a good time reading and posting here, there are already a lot of funny things that I have read.

Welcome, Rake Nightfur. Have fun posting here. It's great that you've decided to join our warren after watching from afar. :)

You will find other people here, who like Redwall. Hawkbit, for example. ;) Or me, although I read only a few books (that's something I have to change).

Welcome, Captain Rake! Redwall rules!!!! Actually, as my copy of Salamandastron claimed that Redwall was a whole lot like Watership, I do owe Redwall a lot. Never would've discovered the epic rabbits without it, for sure.

This is the first time since I posted that I have had internet access, and the last time for another week, I have been travling and could not get a strong enough connection until now.
Anyway, I am glad to see that there are a lot of Redwallers here, I am not sure why I did not join earlier I guess I just wasnt sure if I had very much to contribute, but I do have interseting and sometimes witty things to say.
I have a question for whoever feels like answering;how did you find Watership Down?
I read the Redwall series, LOVED it and wanted more, so I went on YouTube and searched Redwall, and there it was the tv series so I watched that, but then I saw the link for Watership Down episode one. I watched the first one doubtful but open minded, after the first  episode I took a quick trip to the bookstore and bought my first copy of Watership Down.

Whoa, no way! That was almost exactly how I found it! Except my dad clicked the link and was very surprised that I got obsessed with these talking rabbits... I think he was glad I shut up about Redwall, though.

Once upon a time, during my early teenage years, I saw one or two episodes of WSD tv-series. At the time it didn't get me interested (I was more into Animals of Farthing Woods then). Several years later I watched the WSD movie on Youtube and I liked it so much, that I decided to buy a book, which I read and liked too. After that I watched the whole tv series. Couple of years more and Hawkbit created this forum and here I am. :)

Read the book first around 2003, then watched the movie.  I avoided the tv series for the longest time because it looked so Disney-fied and didn't want to think of the book as a cheesy Disney flick.  When someone put the series on youtube, I watched it for curiosity sake, and later went out and bought the boxset because I really did like it. :)  This forum has only been here since 2011, but I co-operated one that had been around since 2004, so I've been active online with WSD for a very long time.

One quick question about posting on older threads, is there a certain age that is too old to reply to?

This seems a good place to ask this, what do the pawprints under our names mean?
