Why is this place called "Fiver's Honeycomb"?
« on: December 05, 2013, 05:15:01 PM »
Time for another useless topic  :p

I'm here for more than two years, but now I'm realizing:

- That this place is called "Fiver's Honeycomb"
- That the chief rabbit is called Hawkbit
- And his right and left hand are Myrkin and I, Darkling

Why is this place called "Fiver's Honeycomb"?

Because I love irony! :D :D :p

So I need to come up with a real answer for this one....honestly, it just sounded right.  I mean I guess Hawkbit's Honeycomb works too, but he didn't have much of a role in the books, and was non-existent in the film so I didn't feel like using him.  Granted, he's hard to overlook in the series.  Generally speaking, its hard to hate on Fiver, no matter which medium of WSD you prefer--book, film or series.  That's why I picked it over something else.  I didn't want a generic "Watership Down Forum" name; you have to admit its certainly unique.  When people think of WSD, they honestly do think of Hazel and Fiver first and foremost so that gives us some keyword relevancy too.  :exactly

That's right.

Hawkbits Field of Sarcasm isn't a good name  :)

Inlés Trail of Death - Where it All Ends May be a little bit to negative  :doh

Of course, Fiver is the name you might remember at first when you think of Watership Down. And I really like the name. I'm just noticing (after 2 years here  :p ) that our chief is Hawkbit in Fiver's Honeycomb ;)

Thanks, now I have the scene, in my head, where Vervain tries to do all the silly things, the "Hedgewizard" told him :D

Vervain: "Excuse me, sir! It must sound odd."
Woundwort: "IT DOES!!!"

I don't believe, that Vervain would enjoy his visit in the Honeycomb. He's too proud to admit that (remember when he was caught in the wire? When the WSD rabbits found him, Primrose won't help him. He said: "Leave me, I won't beg for my life" (something in that way)). BTW, there is no-one, he could suck up to :D
