I start this topic with a question.

Who is the mate of Sandwort?
Tindra or Nyreem?

That's a character from "Tales of Watership Down", isn't it? I won't be able to help you then, I'm afraid.  :(

I really need to read that book some day!

I just read it and I am not sure. I want to say that the book doesn't tell us. Maybe I will have a look tomorrow.

I just read Tales, and they never explicitly say, but it's implied to be Nyreem. Since at the beginning of Sandwort's story, they say something along the lines of him was attracted to Nyreem. I always thought that at the end when they mention his doe, they were talking about Nyreem, but they never explicitly say.

I looked at the passage away, and you're probably right Vaothlay :)

however I personally ship Nyreem with Pipkin
