Now that's the first episode, that plays with more supernatural elements than usual in Watership Down (I simply call Fiver's visions also supernatural ;) )

Fiver and Silverweed are soulmates and both have a mind connection, that allows them to see through the other's eyes and even control him.

Why not? I like the idea and it adds some interesting tactical, let's call it gimmickry to this episode. Unfortunately, we could only say to this episode, because Silverweed already was freed here by Watership Down. Maybe, the creators could have expanded those "mind games" over several episodes.

But what's really cool imo is the dream, Silverweed keeps Fiver trapped in  :fiver

My favorite of the series with its own episode, character Silverweed adore !. I loved the idea of having the telekinetic talent much more developed than Fiver as Cowslip use that power to control the rabbits from their burrows. Silverweed always had a life of unhappiness and General Woundwort was even worse, requiring him to invade minds and bodies. Good luck and fortune was his escape to Watership Down with the help of Campion and Black berry. And at last met happiness of freedom in the high hills ...
YOU ARE THE BEST SILVERWEED ^_^
I love Watership Down!

Everything is fine =) (?)

I just recently re-watched this episode as well, and while I really do like Silverweed as a character, I think the writers really push the supernatural on us.  I think the implausibility of such a thing just makes for lazy writing.  The thing about the Black Rabbit and the supernatural of a higher being is faith based, and thus I could see how that can be powerful.  But mortal rabbits with mind control?

Hmmm....

And why not ?. I understand that is an exaggeration, but it was fun and interesting to watch this develop in this episode. It sounds super heroes. Silverweed, the only rabbit with telekinetic powers, sadly used for evil, exept the end of his life ... To save his friends calling the black rabbit.
I love Watership Down!

^ Just really seemed out of place for WSD which for the most part avoids the supernatural, outside of storytelling. ;)

Am I the only one who finds this episode to be really disturbing?

I think, the creators did right then, didn't they? ;)

I would not mind having nightmares of rabbits if characters appear Watership down on them.  :fiver
