I agree with Myrkin. You're a really good singer. :)

I didn't care for the song when I watched Watership Down, but this version has changed that. To bad you didn't work on the WSD movie, they could have used this version of the song.

Welcome to the forums, first and foremost, and as others have already said, this is a very nice cover of Bright Eyes. :) :yes  When compared to other versions, this one has a more folksy feel to it than other covers.  Did you both play all the instruments in the song or are there keyboards/computers at work?

Thanks so much Owsla-rah for your compliment ;-)  I don't know much about this forum and replying so I'm trying the Quote ;-)

Thanks Clover! ;-)  I named my lop eared bunny after the Clover in Watership Down.  Seems you did the same thing.

My fear was that I was going to sound like Art and I didn't want to.  I was pleased when I heard the result because I wasn't certain if I should do it in the same range or change the key.  I wish I could have been part of the WSD movie but I was only 5 ;-), although I could talk in full sentences by 2 so I guess it could have been possible? ;-)

Hi Hawkbit!

I feel like I'm a character in the book with everyone's names here ;-)

I do all the vocals and my husband plays his classical guitar for the arpeggio track and his acoustic for the strumming.  We recorded it a few weeks ago in our upstairs bedroom using Samplitude and an Alesis Mixer ;-)  Nothing fancy.

A friend of ours told us we should do 'Bright Eyes' and we never even thought of it even though we've had our 3 bunnies for 2 years now.  We were doing other acoustic covers like Angie, Crazy on You, Dust in the Wind, Across the Universe but it never dawned on us to do this song from our favorite book ;-)

You can check out more of our covers at:  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tina-Geoff-Lamberts-music/144137675615014?sk=app_2405167945

So glad to have found this forum ;-)

Forgot to mention I played the tambourine and my husband used a basic bass drum track from Samplitude in the song.

Are there any other places these songs are besides Facebook for us that don't buy into social media? :)

Hi Hawkbit,
Our songs, including 'Bright Eyes' cover are also at:

http://www.reverbnation.com/tinageofflambertmusic

I have a personal myspace page for musicians as well but it's A Cappella music:

In my opinion though there is just something about 'Bright Eyes'.  I loved that song when I first heard it when watching the movie.  I didn't know though at the time what the words were except the words 'Bright Eyes' ;-)  Used to sing it to my bunnies and just hum the rest of the tune...
