10: Ty the Tasmanian Tiger (It's doesn't have the best platforming, nor the best collecting, nor the best story, but I still love my Ty)
9: Nancy Drew: Ghost of Thornton Hall (This game is brutal. For a Nancy Drew game. Scared me more than once. Not to mention that the story is really interesting and depressing, the music is excellent, and the puzzles, per usual, are suitably challenging and fun.)
8: Dragon Age: Origins (I don't typically like high fantasy type games, but Origins is an exception. I like how many different kinds of characters you can play, I like the companions, I like the environments they build. Origins is the only Dragon Age in my book)
7: Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (This game gets a lot of flak, but I don't care, I love it. I like the treasure hunting, I like the mech shooting, I like the speed sections. It's just a romp the whole way through. Nothing too complicated about the gameplay, fun, if flawed level design, tight control, it's really very enjoyable for me.)
6: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (No joke, this Nintendo Pokemon game for little kids made me tear up. They went all out with the story and it's so sad. And the dungeon crawler gameplay translates perfectly from the main series games on top of that.)
5: Batman: Arkham Asylum (The game that got me into Batman proper. I wouldn't love characters like Scarecrow or Zsasz like I do now if not for this game. The atmosphere is thick and brooding, the environments are interesting, the combat is simple, but fun, and the sound effects. I love it when the bones crunch.)
4: The Witcher 1 (It's the most awkward, weird, funnily designed game I have ever encountered, but I love the low fantasy elements, I love Geralt as a protagonist, I love the story, and I love the detail put into the world and characters.)
3: Far Cry 3 (The source of my icon and an incredibly fun game with a great villain. You have no idea how much time I've spent replaying the game, over-analyzing it, and writing fanfics about it. Far Cry 3 is the only Far Cry to me.)
2: Fallout: New Vegas (I have played this game so much that I know every corner like the back of my hand, I love it. I like how much choice you're given in who you want to be, I like the characters that make up the wasteland, unlike with Fallout 3, I genuinely want to protect the Mojave and its inhabitants. It's a game that really invested me. It's a hard thing to describe, really.)
1: Team Fortress 2 (This game. I love this game. I love the stylistic choices, I love the expanded world, I love the characters, I, well, I sometimes love the players. It has such character to it, nothing is ever boring. It's all so janky and weird and 60s and oh God, I love it)
This list is subject to constant, unending change. Consider this my favorite video games this week.
