I pick this post, because it describes the whole situation here in Fiver's Honeycomb during my absence. I had shut down my website and cut off my forum connections because I had some private stress and needed to back away to avoid a burnout (of course, costs did also play a role).

This post should be representative for the whole discussion about me and my website, that started after my absence. It showed me the solidarity of this community and the support for it's members. And it showed me, that my work is held in great esteem!! Thank you guys!!

I picked that post regarding the inspiration for Hazel's character because it made me wonder about who would be the other inspirations for the characters of Watership Down, especially for example Fiver and Woundwort or even Kehaar.  I am not sure what you meant by 'budges' though but this post clearly stood out to me. It isn't funny though

This topic about the character models was my very first attempt at seriously discussing the series, and the feedback I got from it encouraged me to keep checking the boards on a daily basis, getting more and more involved with them as I went.

It was truly a turning point and I can't even express how grateful I'm for all the replies, since they not only solved quite a few of my personal doubts, but showed me that I could ask about pretty much everything and still get positive, informative answers. That's the true spirit of this board, in my opinion.

EDIT: And what the heck? Hawkbit replied on December, 21... that's my birthday :O I also joined on Darkling's Birthday... I wonder if that's a sign :P
