Honestly, out all of the minor character inhabiting this series, Buttercup is easily my favorite.

I don't know what makes her so appealing before my eyes, but I guess that it has a lot to do with the fact that they gave her some fitting lines -compassionate but also inquisitive about their presence there- and that her voice-acting was one of the most accurate on the series (a far cry from Blackavar and other not-so-well chosen rabbits).

There's also the fact that her design is JUST above generic and that really doesn't drive attention from anything else to focus on her. Some may call that lazy, but I think it is perfect. She's a one-shot character and there's no reason for the overkill, with an over-the-top kind of design.

I would have liked to see more about her, to be honest.

I also like her. And the fact, that she lives nearby with humans. She's friendly, she's everything else than aggressive. Nevertheless, she has formed a strong Owsla, so she's not so reckless like the rabbits in Redstone.

Her Owsla seemed rather weak, but I agree about the rest of stuff said by you, my appreciated bat :)

Well... maybe you're right about that fact  :silverweed2 on closer examination  :hawkbit

Nevertheless, they seemed more prepared for attacks than the rabbits in Redstone.  :hickory

You know what sold her and her entire warren for me, though? The thought that ran thru the minds of all the rabbits on the group when they realized that humans were feeding them... for a second there, you could see the "oh no, this is Cowslip's Warren all over again!" painted on their faces. And I don't even know if this was intentional or not, but if the writers actually thought of the possibility, I applaud them :)

You're right, they thought rabbits from Maze Warren were in the same situation as was Cowslip's bunch. Bigwig and the rest assumed that the whole place must be filled with snares. I'm pretty sure this similarity was made intentionally by writers. :)

Of course it was. And that makes their experience so interesting (in fact, it makes the whole (double) episode so interesting)!

:buttercup is a really interesting character.  She makes the whole Frith's Eve special interesting.  If she wasn't there, it probably would have been another boring filler episode like the next two...

She also helps to show that not all humans are evil.

It would have been great if she had come back in season 3, for the final battle or something.  Unfortunately, she was simply forgotten after the two episodes.
